This beautiful St. Benedict medal has an exquisite balance between size and weight. It's an oval shape with fine, traditional details front and back. St. Benedict is invoked against evil. All the lettering on the reverse of St. Benedict medals are the initials of the St. Benedict exorcism prayer, which St. Benedict prayed against being poisoned while imprisoned. Notice the cracked cup on the front lower left -- that was the goblet which held the poison and broke before St. Benedict could drink it. Although this piece is a medium size, its weight is light enough to be used as an accent on large bead rosaries. It's also perfect for chaplets or to wear.
