This original medallist of this handsome, Art Nouveau style crucifix uses the mistletoe plant as the model for its decorations. The long, curling leaves and white berries of the plant symbolize forgiveness, penance and the birth of Jesus, and form graceful decorations of the cross portion of this piece. A crown of thorns with a star form the halo beneath the head of Christ. This crucifix has a very nice balance of length and weight, and is nice on 7mm and 8mm rosaries, and chaplets or tenners.
