Our Lady of Carmel Tenner in Red Bamboo Coral
Our Lady of Carmel Tenner in Red Bamboo Coral
Bamboo coral is a cousin of precious Mediterranean (Sardinian) coral. It grows larger and more rapidly than precious coral, and when it is harvested, it’s usually bone white or pale pink. Bamboo coral is permanently dyed to resemble precious Sardinian coral, as these beads are. The Our Father bead used here is old, unused bamboo coral stock from the deep ocean off of North Africa.
Paired with large Sterling silver parts and heavy wire construction, this tenner is truly striking! The Our Lady of Carmel end medal is a cast reproduction of a gorgeous, highly detailed antique. A powerful design!
