This small medal commemorates the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary by the Archangel Gabriel that She was to bear the Messiah through a virgin conception and birth. Gabriel greeted Mary with the expression, "Hail, Mary, full of grace!" This lovely medal features the Archangel on a cloud, the descending dove of the Holy Spirit, and the Virgin kneeling to accept this gift. The original is a souvenir medal from Menton, France.
