A boldly rendered figure of Christ with a Gothic-style halo and His Sacred Heart make this a truly special rosary center. Our Lady of Carmel decorates the reverse. This combination of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and O.L. Carmel is referred to as a "Scapular" design, from the original brown woolen Scapulars of the Sisters of Carmel, worn over the shoulder to signify love , devotion and respect of the Blessed Virgin. Promises and indulgences given to the faithful who are enrolled in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular and meet their obligations are not transferred to Scapular rosary centers. However, Scapular centers are a fine way to express your love and devotion to Holy Mary and Christ, and their is a broad tradition of their use. This center is well-sized for 8mm bead rosaries. The attachment loops will take up to 16ga wire jump rings.
