The Chaplet of St. Joseph
Configuration
Drop portion:
St. Joseph end medal + 1 purple bead + 1 white bead +
3 purple beads + 1 white bead + (optional) center medal
Circle portion:
14 sets of 3 purple beads, separated by 1 white bead each, for a total of 13 additional white beads.
The configuration of the St. Joseph chaplet is based upon the original 15 mysteries of the rosary (Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious). The recently added Luminous Mysteries are not included.
The traditional colors of this chaplet are purple (representing St. Joseph's piety and majestic position in heaven), and white for His purity.
How to pray the Chaplet of St. Joseph
On the end medal, make the sign of the cross.
On the first purple bead above the end medal, pray the Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
And born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate;
Was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of the Father.
From there, He will come to judge
The living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy Catholic church,
The communion of Saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the dead,
And life everlasting. Amen.

O God, Who has predestined St. Joseph from all eternity for the service of Thine Eternal Son and His Blessed Mother, and made him worthy to be the spouse of this Blessed Virgin and the foster father of Thy Son; we beseech Thee, through all the services he has rendered to Jesus and Mary on earth, that Thou wouldst make us worthy of his intercession and grant us to enjoy the happiness of his company in heaven.
