Holy Infant of Prague Chaplet
Configuration
Infant of Prague end medal + 3 beads on the drop + center medal + twelve beads on the circle above the center.
The Holy Infant of Prague chaplet originated with a Carmelite nun, Venerable Sister Marguerite of the Blessed Sacrament, c.1630. Venerable Marguerite reportedly had visions of the Child Jesus from a young age, and this chaplet was given to her in a revelation from Jesus.
The traditional bead color for this chaplet is red, but antique chaplets in every variety of color abound.
How to pray the Holy Infant of Prague Chaplet
On the end medal pray:
Divine Infant Jesus, I adore Your Cross, and I accept all the crosses You will be pleased to send me. Adorable Trinity, I offer You for the glory of the Holy Name of God all the adorations of the Sacred Heart of the Holy Infant Jesus.
On each of the 3 introductory beads pray:
And the word became flesh, and lived among us + one Our Father in honor of the Holy Family.
On the center or before the first Ave bead of the circle, pray:
And the word became flesh and lived among us.
On each of the twelve beads of the circle, pray one Hail Mary in honor of the 12 years of Jesus’ childhood.
